如果不是落枕，達比修有達成紀錄的時間可以更快一些。

因落枕休息三周，錯過主投開幕戰的達比修，首度先發上陣就讓遊騎兵感到有王牌在真好。達比修主投7局無失分，投出6K，帶領遊騎兵以3：0作客擊敗光芒，拿下本季首勝。不僅如此，達比修更成為大聯盟史上最快達成500K的先發投手。

達比修1局下面對頭兩棒就連飆2K，以401.2局完成500K里程碑，打破前小熊投手伍德(Kerry Wood)以404.2局完成500K的大聯盟紀錄，寫下達比修障礙。

舊紀錄第2快達成500K的先發投手是普萊爾(Mark Prior)，用了421.2局。「天才小史」史特拉斯堡排第3，用了426.1局。

捕手阿倫西比亞(J.P. Arencibia)忍不住大力稱讚搭檔，「他投得太棒了，我們擬定相當不錯的作戰計畫，而他執行地非常棒，十分完美。」
