鴻海董事長郭台銘今日出席「鴻海捐贈台灣三所高中教育實驗平台」記者會上表示，自己女兒已經要上小學一年級了，「我也在挑學校」，自家永齡基金會已經有5-6年的時間投入偏鄉教育的發展，希望能「翻轉台灣的教育」。

他並表示，很多硬體產品都在台灣生產，但我們只考慮在外銷，沒有想到投資在自己的小孩。郭台銘也透露，送女兒一支「美圖秀秀」的手機，「我女兒已經會每天上網、還會用美圖秀秀拍照片上傳到我手機」，現在新世代來臨，科技也要讓學校教育更上層樓，讓學習效果增加、讓教育經費降低。

鴻海表示，將提供各種創新科技產品，望能打破僵化思考，激發學生想像。並鼓勵外界開放式軟體與各種學習資源支援平台教學，讓師生能有最好的翻轉教育體驗。
