克里夫蘭騎士Anthony Bennett菜鳥球季低迷的表現，讓人幾乎忘了他是2013年選秀狀元，23日「年度新秀球隊」出爐，他當然不在名單上。

Bennett是自從1988年創立該獎項後，第5位沒有入選的狀元，前4位是2007年Greg Oden、2001年Kwame Brown、1989年Pervis Ellison、1988年Danny Manning。

Bennett在投票中只獲得1張第二隊選票，是來自《紐約每日新聞》的Mitch Lawrence。

Bennett本季52場出賽，平均只得4.2分，他的肩傷、他不「三」不「四」的身材、意外成為狀元導致的壓力，都是他新秀球季表現慘澹的原因。
