「李登輝」迷路　警護送返家

台中市警局第四分局大墩派出所警員上周五執行巡邏勤務，行經大墩十七街、大進路口，發現一名老翁疑似迷路獨自站在馬路邊，警員主動上前關心並詢問住址，但老翁神情緊張不知所措，說不清楚住址，警員再問他姓名，老翁竟回答：「我叫李登輝！」

警方以為老翁開玩笑，但追問幾次，老翁除「李登輝」3個字外，其他都說不清楚，警方只好以M-Police行動電腦的臉部辨識系統查詢，發現這名現年80歲的老翁果然叫「李登輝」，與前總統同名同姓，住處就在附近，於是以警車護送他返家。

李妻看到警方帶丈夫返家也嚇了一跳，表示丈夫因年紀大，患有失智症，原本以為他在房間睡覺，沒想到竟獨自外出，感謝警方協助。警方提醒，李妻可為丈夫向台中市社會局申請愛心手鍊，或在他身上放置家屬聯絡方式，發現走失時可立即向警方報案。（鮮明／台中報導）
