因碼頭改建，金廈小三通東渡航線明天停航，船班將併入五通碼頭運行。由於使用旅客流量萎縮，這個航線很有可能因此關閉、從此走入歷史。

2001年元月啟動的小三通，原只有廈門和平碼頭與金門水頭碼頭對開，2008年6月移至東渡碼頭，使用近6個年頭。泉州石井與廈門五通兩航線分別在2006年6月、2008年8月增設。

金廈「小三通」榮景不再，東渡航線可能從此走入歷史。
