田中將大本季最後1場先發，遭紅襪砲擊。

洋基日籍投手田中將大在本季最後1場先發，也是傷癒歸隊的第2次登板，遭遇紅襪砲擊。田中第二度作客芬威球場，只撐1.2局就遭KO，被敲7支安打失7分，5分責失，三振保送各2次，洋基以4：10輸球，田中吞下第5敗，本季勝場為13勝，防禦率2.77。

洋基教練團認為田中的手肘一切正常，僅是內容不佳。

洋基隊長基特(Derek Jeter)以指定打擊先發，2打數敲出1支內野安打，跑壘時似乎有點拉傷提前退場。

不過基特賽後認為沒有大礙，明天球季最後一戰，也是他生涯最後一場比賽，會如期再以指定打擊身分上場。
