黛安娜王妃結婚蛋糕 1375美元拍出

英國黛安娜王妃(Princess Diana)雖然已經去世多年，但她和英國王儲查爾斯王子(Prince Charles)在1981年的一塊結婚蛋糕28日以1,375美元的價格賣出。
美國洛杉磯的桑德茲拍賣公司(Nate D. Sanders Auctions)在網站上公開標售這塊已有33年歷史的蛋糕。結果這塊仍然保存在原本的銀白色禮盒中的蛋糕在28日以1,375美元被買走。
禮盒上所附的卡片寫著：「來自皇室，威爾斯王子王妃的祝福」
桑德茲拍賣公司發言人海勒(Sam Heller)表示，這塊蛋糕的買者是一位私人收藏家。海勒還表示，雖然這塊蛋糕仍完整的被保存在原本的蠟紙中，但可不建議拿來吃。
海勒指出，雖然為數不多，但仍有些人喜歡收藏皇室蛋糕。他舉例說，就曾有買家收購了英國維多利亞女王(Queen Victoria)在1840年的結婚蛋糕。
