教宗訪中東展開朝聖之旅

（法新社安曼24日電）羅馬天主教教宗方濟各今天抵達約旦展開訪問中東行程，將會見穆斯林和猶太教領袖。

教廷將這趟旅程標誌為「祈禱者朝聖之旅」，還說儘管引發安全疑慮，教宗將選搭敞篷車輛，而非防彈車。

天主教設施先前爆發一連串仇恨攻擊事件，以色列當局本週對15名右翼猶太教極端分子發布禁止令，要求他們遠離教宗即將參訪的地方。

方濟各說，這趟訪問的主要目的是與東正教世界屬靈領袖巴索羅謬（Bartholomew I）會面，並為「蒙受許多痛苦的那片土地，祈求和平」。

方濟各明天將在耶路撒冷舊城區的聖墓教堂（Church of the Holy Sepulcher）與巴索羅謬參與特別聯合祈禱會，也將會見穆斯林和猶太教領袖。（譯者：中央社張詠晴）
