【時報-台北電】海岸公路上有那麼多動物？沿著台11線東部海岸公路「當心動物」交通號誌會不經意出現眼前，提醒路過民眾要小心牛、小心羊、小心猴，不少遊客看了不覺莞爾，還會跟著唱起「小小羊兒要回家」。

當心動物！東部海岸公路沿線風景秀麗，自然生態也很豐富，因為有民眾放牧牛隻，常有牛走上大街被車子撞到事件，因此，公路局在沿線東河橋、的成橋等處設立6個警告標誌，提醒開車民眾注意慢行。

另外，在東河鄉往泰源的台23線登仙橋常有猴群出沒，公路局在多年前就設立「當心猴子」標誌，以前是提醒遊客不要撞到猴子，狂犬病疫情爆發也提醒遊客，不要接近野生台灣獼猴，因為小心猴子號誌很少見，可愛又吸睛常吸引遊客留影。

「小小羊兒要回家」在舊台11線成功鎮八嗡嗡，有「 祕境」之稱的海邊，還有1個可愛「小心羊兒」標誌，因為該處有養羊人家，經常有羊在路上散步，東管處在這裡設標誌提醒民眾讓羊過馬路，遊客發現莞爾之餘，也跟著哼起那首耳熟能詳的童謠。(新聞來源：中國時報─記者莊哲權／台東報導)
