印地安人隊台灣投手李振昌30日再度登場，5局上面對2012年新人王，而且是天使隊跑、打、守三拍子的恐怖強將楚特(Mike Trout)，李振昌毫不畏懼，讓他擊成滾地球出局，解決該半局先發投手庫魯柏(Corey Kluber)所留下來的危機。

庫魯柏這場比賽僅投4.2局就退場休息，留下兩出局一、三壘有人的狀況給李振昌，這位好手面對楚特沉著應戰，用了6個球，最快球速95英哩(約153公里)，最後以94英哩直球，讓他擊出投手前軟弱滾地球，李振昌接到球後快傳一壘，化解失分危機。

6局下李振昌仍繼續投球，對決「生化人」普侯斯(Albert Pujols)，第一球送出81英哩曲球是好球，第二球93英哩速球，結果被擊出右外野平飛安打，隨即被換下場休息。接下來的投手沒能守住，奧特曼(Josh Outman)保送遭換之後，接替的艾錫森(Scott Atchison)遭敲安打，普侯斯回來得分，算在李振昌頭上。

總計李振昌此役只投0.1局，用8球有6球是好球，被擊出1支安打失1分，防禦率從賽前的4.05升至5.14。此役印地安人曾追到只以4比5落後，但後來又被天使拿下保送分，最後以4比6輸球。

李振昌本季有失分率偏高的現象，至30日為止8場出賽當中，只有3場比賽沒有掉分，壓制力還加強的空間。
