紐約尼克3日以110：81轟垮布魯克林籃網，不僅贏得「大蘋果內戰」，尼克戰績33勝43敗，攻上東區第8種子，永遠別說「不可能」！

「甜瓜」Carmelo Anthony攻下23分、10籃板，近況不錯的「神經射手」J.R. Smith飆進24分，Tim Hardaway Jr.從板凳上貢獻17分，團隊命中率6成，贏球輕鬆寫意。

「我們知道自己想要甚麼。」Anthony說。

「我們想到達那裡，那是目標。」Anthony口中的目標，當然就是季後賽。

「這是個充滿高潮、低潮的球季，也是很情緒化的一季，如果能在季後賽掙得一個席位，那會是件大事。」Anthony說。

由於本季戰績慘澹、狀況頻傳，烏紗帽已經脫一半的尼克總教練Mike Woodson終於能喘口氣，迎接接下來的目標─穩住排名。

「我們的球員非常飢渴。」Woodson說：「結束西岸征戰，下一場比賽通常都很難打，但我們的球員已經準備好了，而且充滿能量。」

3月下旬，尼克連續打了5場西岸客場比賽，帶著3場勝仗打回麥迪遜廣場花園，氣勢果然不錯。

東區季後賽已經確定6席，夏洛特山貓領先尼克4.5場勝差，第7名位置相當穩，至於「老八」則是尼克、亞特蘭大老鷹、克里夫蘭騎士「三搶一」。
