歐洲議會2日表決通過，所有電動車必須安裝類似傳統引擎的噪音發聲器，以免由於太安靜而對對盲人和只具局部視力的行人造成危險。例子包括德國的BMWi3和日本豐田的Prius，只以電力行駛時寂靜無聲。
