新北市汐止南興路62號早安清境社區後山下午3時40分許，疑似發生山林火警，新北市消防隊員據報抵達現場，見火勢有一發不可收拾之勢，立刻佈水線進行灌救，約20分鐘撲滅火勢，赫然發現竟是有人在該地自焚，立刻將該男子送醫急救，該男子因6-70%燒傷且刺傷自己雙眼，目前在醫院插管治療中。

根據警方調查指出，該男是45歲李姓男子，家住內湖，何以會在汐止南興路刺傷雙眼且自焚，李男姊姊在接獲警方通知前往醫院時向承辦警員表示，弟弟因沾染毒品又無業，可能因此萬念俱灰走絕路，至於李男實際自焚原因，警正深入調查中。（林金聖／台北報導）
