南投縣集集鎮公所設置的環鎮觀光小火車今天中午抵達終點時，疑似煞車失靈暴衝，衝出軌道盡頭的車擋，並撞壞部分欄杆，當時車上有30名遊客，幸好無人受傷。集集鎮以鐵路集集支線聞名，鎮公所更自行規劃環鎮觀光小火車，吸引觀光客搭乘，未料卻發生出軌意外。
