英就業較預期疲軟升息空間減

（中央社台北2014年6月24日電）彭博報導，英國央行英格蘭銀行總裁卡尼（Mark Carney）表示，薪資數據顯示決策者可以等到經濟吸收更多閒置產能後，才將利率自歷史低檔上調。

卡尼今天在公聽會上向財政委員會議員表示，「薪資數據對我來說，顯示勞動市場有比我們認為還多的閒置產能，比我們預期還疲軟。」卡尼表示，英銀任何升息的確定時間「將視數據而定」。

上任將屆滿1年的卡尼，暗示不急著升息後，市場交易員減少押注升息，英鎊聞訊走軟。卡尼本月稍早暗示，升息步伐可能比市場預期早。

卡尼今天向國會議員表示，「貨幣政策委員會最佳的集體判斷，我也認同，那就是勞動市場有多餘的閒置產能，在我們開始利率正常化之前，可以被進一步吸收。」

卡尼表示，英銀一旦開始調升利率，將以有限和漸進的方式進行。

台北時間下午5時8分，英鎊兌美元貶0.3%，來到1.6977美元兌1英鎊。英鎊19日一度觸及1.7063美元，改寫2008年10月以來最高水準。
