全球競爭力排名，台灣連3年退步、降至第13名

瑞士洛桑管理學院(IMD)世界競爭力中心公布《2014年全球競爭力》評比，台灣從去年的第11名降至第13名，連續3年退步。在亞洲地區中，台灣被馬來西亞超越，從第3名降至第4名。

在競爭力評比的四項指標中，台灣只有在經濟表現有進步，政府效能、企業效能和基礎設施均為下滑。另外IMD認為，台灣的挑戰在於培養社會團結和社會融合；採行經濟自由化，跟上國際標準；加速工業結構重整、升級，和服務業發展；以創造就業和薪資平等促進經濟成長；發展綠色經濟競爭力。

在其他亞洲國家，新加坡則進步2名升至第3名，香港為第4名。日本因實施貨幣貶值政策，促進外貿，因此進步3名、升至第21名；中國大陸由於經商環境不夠良好，排名第23；南韓降為第26名；泰國因政局不穩而降至第29名。
