聯發科不僅智慧手機晶片出貨告捷，去年下半年拿下的美商亞馬遜（Amazon）平板電腦訂單亦將在本季開始出貨，打開北美市場。

聯發科去年起積極進攻平板電腦市場，在同年第2季完成首顆採用大小核設計的四核心晶片「8135」（指產品代號）設計之後，即開始尋求客戶端進行產品設計（design in），美國亞馬遜、邦諾（Barnes & Noble）等電子書大廠也被納入潛在客戶名單。

去年8月，市場開始傳出聯發科已順利敲開亞馬遜的大門，切入由仁寶操刀代工的機種。聯發科當時否認拿下亞馬遜平板電腦訂單，但平板電腦晶片供應鏈指出，該公司不僅確定拿到訂單，且將於本季開始出貨。
