澳洲海床探測公司GeoResonance表示，他們在孟加拉灣海床發現類似客機殘骸的物體。這個不明物體位於孟加拉南方118英里 (189公里)，在3月5日到10日之間出現。馬來西亞航空MH370班機3月8日失蹤，但研判墜落區域和該公司所指位置相去甚遠。
