What 有關係副詞功能嗎？

在書上看到以下說明：

關係副詞 + 完整子句-->名詞子句
關係代名詞 + 不完整子句-->形容詞子句

接著他舉例如下：

名詞子句：
He doesn't know what he did. (what he did 表示名詞子句)

形容詞子句：
The cake that she has made looks delicious.(that she has made是形容詞子句)

以上我有一個地方一直轉不過來，what有關係副詞的功能嗎？但後面的句子he did不是完整的句字啊？他應該是複合關係代名詞 + 不完整的句字對嗎？然後一樣是名詞字句功能？
