聯合國：海地霍亂問題仍嚴重

聯合國秘書長海地事務特別代表奧諾雷(Sandra Honore)24日表示，儘管已經有進展，但海地的霍亂疫情仍是全球最嚴重的。

奧諾雷24日向聯合國安全理事會簡報海地維持和平任務，以及當地犯罪率、公共衛生以及霍亂疫情。

奧諾雷說，在防止霍亂蔓延的努力上已經取得進展，自2010年以來，海地共出現68萬820個霍亂病例，其中去年有5萬8千多人感染霍亂，只增加了6%。

奧諾雷指出，整體而言，海地的霍亂疫情已經減半，而且死亡率也低於1%。1%是世界衛生組織(World Health Organization)訂定的警戒門檻。

但她表示，儘管如此，海地的霍亂疫情仍然是全世界最嚴重的。根據海地官方表示，霍亂已經奪走超過8千條人命。

此外，奧諾雷也告訴安理會，在2013年，海地重大犯罪案已經下降。和前一年相比，謀殺案下降21%，綁架案也減少了53%。
