3D造臉顏面傷殘病患重生

因發生機車事故而致顏面嚴重傷殘的英國男子鮑爾，接受使用3D列印技術的創新手術，重建容顏。

住在威爾斯的鮑爾，應是在手術各階段都用到3D列印技術的世上首批創傷病人之一。

29歲的鮑爾在2012年事故中受到多重外傷，他雖戴著安全帽，但上顎、鼻子和2個頰骨仍骨折，頭骨也斷裂。

威爾斯第2大城天鵝海莫里斯頓醫院的手術小組，利用電腦斷層掃瞄製作，並列印鮑爾頭骨的3D對稱模型，切割出相稱的手術導引板。

醫師表示，藉助3D列印技術，消除了顏面重建上的不確定問題，鮑爾重建後的面容，與出事前相似的程度驚人。

在手術前戴著帽子和眼鏡遮掩創傷的鮑爾說，手術「使我的生活完全改變了」。
