（路透卡那封/約克17日電）蘇格蘭可能透過公投脫離英國獨立，使英國其他地區希望，調整政治關係也許能提高他們自治的機會。

打算在9月18日獨立公投投下「贊成」票的蘇格蘭人近來激增，使位於倫敦的英國國會措手不及，後來趕忙承諾，倘若蘇格蘭留在英國，將擴大當地經濟決策權，引起了曼徹斯特（Manchester）、約克郡（Yorkshire）及威爾斯（Wales）的考量。許多英國選民不滿地認為，倫敦成了在經濟及文化上逐漸脫離英國其他地區的城邦。分析家也都認為，英國政府坐視其他所有地區的經濟沈滯，因為這些地區沒有將各自成長政策因地制宜的權力。在英國陷入數年衰退後，現在無論蘇格蘭獨立公投結果為何，一些地方政治人物、領袖及企業家也高喊要區域自治，以提高地方上的成長。民調公司ComRes昨天所公布為ITV新聞頻道進行的民調顯示，近半數英國人（48%）贊成，由中央下放較大決策權給英格蘭和威爾斯各城市和地區。中央社（翻譯）
