「亞裔不比其他人聰明」　美國政客失言道歉

美國參議院民主黨領袖瑞德（Harry Reid）近日拿亞裔人士開玩笑，稱「亞裔人士不比其他人聰明」，遭網友痛斥有種族歧視之嫌，瑞德只得為其言論致歉。

瑞德上周四應邀出席亞裔商會在拉斯維加斯的午餐會，他對在場150名商界領袖表示：「我不認為你們比其他人聰明，不過你們讓我們很多人以為是這樣。」輪到商會王姓會長被介紹上台，瑞德又搶麥克風笑說：「我今日遇上困難，認不清這些王先生。」

瑞德兩番「笑話」引來哄堂大笑，不過共和黨旗下研究機構將影片上傳YouTube，指摘瑞德嘲笑亞洲人。他翌日發聲明道歉：「我的言論品味非常低劣，我為此致歉。有時我會說錯話。」（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
