犯下北捷隨機殺人案的凶嫌鄭捷，被羈押在台北看守所快滿2個月，日前他3度收到父母家書，信中除了關心鄭捷的狀況，還要他若缺錢花用，可以回信告知，會寄現金匯票給他。新北地檢署偵辦北捷隨機殺人案，鄭捷在案發後從5月22日就被收押進台北看守所，至今已近羈押期限2個月，檢方近期將在羈押期限屆滿前將全案偵結起訴，而非繼續延押。

但鄭捷的父母至今仍未到看守所探望，只透過家書了解鄭捷狀況。根據《中央社》報導，鄭捷日前第3度收到父母家書，信中簡短字句關心鄭捷的狀況，並要他誠心悔過，向被害家屬道歉，還要鄭捷若缺錢，可以回信告知，父母會寄現金匯票給他。

但據悉，鄭捷很少回信給父母，只有在台北捷運公司提出向鄭捷求償2061萬多元營業損失聲請時，鄭捷才寫信請父母找律師向法院提聲明異議。
