「不沉艦隊」西班牙在巴西世界盃衞冕失敗，在踢完最後一場與澳洲的分組賽後，就搭機返回馬德里，但在飛抵前班機卻遭遇雷擊，擊中飛機右側。

西班牙《馬卡報》報導，大軍乘機回國，預計在當地時間周二(24日)中午12時在馬德里機場降落，但著陸前飛機遭遇雷擊，右側被擊中，機內乘客更聽到爆炸聲，幸好最後還是安全著陸。飛機降落後，一群國腳們從機場另一條通道離開，避開到場迎接他們的250名球迷。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
