吵穿山甲幫翻土　千人木屐踩街慶端午

台中市南屯老街舉辦「犁頭店慶端午．穿木屐躦鯪鯉」木屐踩街，每年都吸引不少民眾參與，今年台中市長胡志強特地到場，號召千人一起穿木屐踩街，感受早期台中農民的熱情與活力。

台中市政府民政局長王秋冬指出，早期台中市南屯的「鯪鯉」（穿山甲）很多，過去農民為了讓土地好耕作，於是紛紛穿木屐，吵醒「鯪鯉」幫農地翻土以利耕作，演變至今成為南屯區獨特的民俗慶典，並在2008年獲列為台中市民俗類文化資產。

今天舉辦4人木屐競賽、小朋友跑跑跑、滾鐵圈、夫妻夾球以及成人挑扁擔等趣味競賽，天氣悶熱，現場索性玩起丟水球、水槍噴水、踩冰塊等活動，洋溢歡樂的端午節氣氛!(鄭敏玲／台中報導)
