南投縣鹿谷鄉小半天風景區德興瀑布今天下午2時許發生一起受困意外，來自彰化的莊姓夫妻帶著7歲、8歲孩子下午1時許到德興瀑布烤肉，但因為德興瀑布遊客太多，因此他們轉而到德興瀑布下游50公尺的小路，在溪床大石間中烤肉。

下午1時30分，下了一場午後暴雨，造成溪水暴漲，莊姓一家人受困溪床無法動彈，民眾報案後，鹿谷消防隊與竹林派出所合力用繩索、麻竹，在下午4時許成功救援受困民眾。
