（中央社紐約2014年5月19日綜合外電報導）瑟隆尼斯孟克爵士學院（Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz）頒發創始人獎給美國前總統柯林頓時，熱愛薩克斯風的柯林頓將有機會上台露一手。

美聯社報導，孟克學院今天宣布，11月9日將在洛杉磯杜比劇院（Dolby Theater）舉辦音樂會，並頒獎表揚柯林頓。收入將用來資助該學院的全球免費爵士教學計畫。

孟克學院主席賀比漢考克（Herbie Hancock）表示，柯林頓在公立學校音樂課程「透過次中音薩克斯風磨練創意」，數十年來推廣爵士不遺餘力。
