印度洋島國馬達加斯加全國風險與災害處理局14日表示，馬國南部幫派偷竊犛牛引發暴力械鬥，一周來已造成22人死亡、至少275戶民宅被搗毀、3000多人被迫撤離家園。

馬國軍隊與村民說，這起暴力事件與牛賊間的械鬥擴大有關。在馬達加斯加南部，犛牛是財富的象徵，當地居民只有在結婚或重大節慶時，才會宰殺犛牛獻祭或食用。
