東芝與晟碟將合作在日生產晶片

（中央社台北2014年5月14日電）彭博報導，東芝公司（Toshiba JP-6502）指出，將與晟碟（SanDiskUS-SNDK）在日本四日市（Yokkaichi）工廠合作製造晶片。

東芝今天在官網聲明指出，將轉換日本西部三重縣（Mie prefecture）工廠設施，以創造2016年3-D快閃記憶晶片的生產空間。

東芝和晟碟已簽定不具約束力的合作備忘錄（MOU）以合資投資新設施。目標2015年夏季完成設施轉換。

東芝聲明內容未說明投資金額為何。

日經新聞（Nikkei）今天稍早報導，東芝和晟碟將最高投資5000億日圓在工廠設施轉換上。（譯者：中央社徐睿承）
