據俄羅斯國際通訊社6日報導，今年第二季俄羅斯經濟可能負成長，且是連續第二季萎縮。這已符合經濟衰退的定義。

通訊社引述財政部長期規劃處主任歐瑞希金的話說，4月發電量、貨運及天然氣產量均疲軟，且多項企業活動指標均令人無法對經濟持樂觀看法。他說，「各方面均預示第二季國內生產毛額將低於第一季，且是連續第二季下降。」

他並指出，至於第三季的經濟表現，要看政治不確定的程度，以及央行提高利率後銀行貸款額下降多快而定。
