洋基1到9號將永遠沒人能穿

洋基隊將退休前教頭Joe Torre的6號球衣，表揚這位教頭在洋基隊的12年貢獻。未來Derek Jeter退休後，應該也沒人能再穿2號，如此一來，洋基隊1到9號將全面「封存」。

Torre執教洋基12年，最大的功勞，當然是四座冠軍，包括1996-98的三連霸、以及2000年再度登頂。他成為洋基隊史第三位被號退休教頭，前兩位是Billy Martin、Casey Stengel。

現任大聯盟棒球事業部執行副總裁的Torre，將在今年7月27日進入棒球名人堂。如今洋基隊退休他的背號，錦上添花。
