（中央社記者林恆立南投縣2014年4月30日電）國內登山界頗負盛名的「能高越嶺西段國家步道」，近日因沿途舊崩塌地有落石現象，林務局南投林區管理處暫時封閉步道。

南投林管處今天指出，能高越嶺西段舊崩塌地近日落石不斷，恐造成危險，因此自22日封閉至30日，但因山區時有陣雨，沿途仍有落石現象，以屯原登山口0.3K處落石情況較為嚴重，步道封閉時間決定延至5月5日，以確保安全。

林管處表示，目前暫時封閉步道並持續監控中，特別提醒登山遊客出門前應注意山區氣象及林管處網站公告訊息，在山區切勿於崩塌地及附近停留，以維自身安全。
